Wellness. What does that mean for you?
At our recent Beattie conference, we had an inspiring talk from Wellness mentor Charlene Hutsebaut.
Her parting words were: "You are all worthy and deserving of feeling fabulous, healthy and happy each day. YOU have the power to CHOOSE your wellness."
It was a great introduction to Beattie's Wellness Week - an initiative we implemented to encourage staff to take part in activities to enhance mind and body.
We firmly believe a successful business has a healthy, happy workforce at its core. That’s why we want to support our team in the quest to get healthier.
So the company has been providing healthy breakfasts, as well as a programme of activities to inspire.
Beattie Wellness Week aims to encourage staff to better manage their health and wellbeing in the workplace, and beyond. With a packed programme - it’s up to each individual how involved they get, but the more they try, the more likely they are to find something enjoyable.
Here's a sneak peek at the programme the London, Manchester and Leeds offices have been taking part in this week:
What better way to relax into the week than with a 20 minute mindfulness session?
Can’t touch your toes? Flex those muscles, and stretch out aches and pains by joining our end of day yoga class.
Be inspired by our Beattie Beats running team and take part in a leisurely lunchtime run (or walk).
Unlock creativity with a mindful colouring in session over lunch. Proven to reduce stress and encourage relaxation, this will help find your inner calm.
Celebrating the end of the week with a disco. Shake off stress to your favourite tunes. Be there or be square!
Scotland are gearing up to do their Wellness Week next week, with an added challenge of covering the equivalent of 23.2 miles in a week (the distance between two of our main offices north of the border) using fitness trackers to record their steps.
We're making it as fun as possible. Because wellness doesn't have to be about sweating it out in the gym.
And a lot of us are very pleased to hear that!
